Jumbo Screens from GoVision Add Video Firepower to Performances
DALLAS, TX (May 7, 2009) – Two of the largest and most-anticipated annual festivals in North Texas both feature impressive musical lineups, and event organizers are making sure everyone in the crowd has a great view of the performers.
The fun starts this weekend at Taste Addison when Jack Ingram, Foreigner, Old 97s and Bowling for Soup take the stage. They’ll be joined by a 9′x16′ “GoBig” LED video screen and a two-camera production crew powered by GoVision (www.jumbo.tv), one of the nation’s premier suppliers of turnkey mobile LED screens and customized modular LED walls. An identical modular screen will be positioned in the middle of the festival to entertain the VIP section.
“We want everyone to feel like they’re part of the Taste Addison experience,” said Michelle Holland, special events coordinator for the Town of Addison. “So the screens are a big part of the show because GoVision ensures everyone can see the fantastic acts we’re bringing to town.”
The following week, the Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival kicks off the City of Richardson’s annual celebration. The world’s largest high-definition mobile LED screen – the massive 19′x33′ “GoBigger” unit – will be on the Main Stage as Kansas, The Toadies, Rick Springfield, Kool & The Gang, Hoobastank, and other bands rock the house. A three-camera production crew from GoVision will capture the action, while another 9′ x 12′ custom-built video wall looms over the secondary stage.
“This year’s musical line-up is arguably our best ever, so we knew we needed something over-the-top to really impress the audience,” said Geoff Fairchild, special events manager for the City of Richardson. “So, naturally, we told GoVision we had to have the world’s largest mobile HD screen on the Main Stage!”
“Taste Addison and Wildflower! are two of our favorite city festivals,” said Chris Curtis, CEO of GoVision. “We love being a part of this North Texas tradition, especially with events that know how to maximize the value of our screens from both an entertainment and sponsorship perspective.”
