Dallas’ Museum Tower Groundbreaking Boosted by GoVision HD Screen

Groundbreaking ceremonies can be fairly lackluster affairs, especially when the primary visual is a big hole in the earth. But organizers of the official unveiling of Dallas’ Museum Tower – the new centerpiece of the Dallas Arts District – found a way to bring the soon-to-be-iconic structure to life in spectacular fashion: By running graphic simulations of the 42-story building’s construction and artist’s renderings on the world’s largest mobile high-definition LED screen.

Chicago Rolls Out Massive Daktronics Screens for Celebration

This was a job for “GoBigger,” the world’s largest mobile LED screen. The 19’ x 33’ mobile unit, provided by Texas-based rental company GoVision, features Daktronics HD-16 LED video technology and was strategically positioned at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, not far from the main stage. A second mobile LED unit, the 9’ x 12’ “GoTron,” was stationed further down Michigan.

Eight Daktronics Screens to Dazzle During NCAA Men’s Final Four

For the second consecutive year, the NCAA Men’s Final Four will feature an octagonal LED video wall suspended above the court. Fans attending the 2010 NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Championships this weekend will have a spectacular, high-definition view of all the action, regardless of where they are seated in Lucas Oil Stadium, while fans at home will also experience the giant screens featuring Daktronics LED video technology.

This weekend’s Final Four will offer a first for fans inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. GoVision will construct a massive octagonal LED center-hung scoreboard comprising 15- x 28-ft. Daktronics HD12 video screens. Besides being the largest portable center-hung scoreboard ever assembled, it hints at a new scoreboard-related revenue stream because, during the NFL season, it can be seen entertaining fans in the plaza area outside Cowboys Stadium.

“Most of the basketball arenas have a center hung piece. You know they have the floor action and they have the action right above the floor and a lot of the football arenas that the NCAA has gone to they don’t have center hung boards that enhance the experience for the fans and that’s where we come in. We hang them up. We did in Detroit last year and that was a huge success and we’ve actually gone a little bigger here at the home of the NCAA for the final four this year,” Jeff Williams, Production and Show Manager of GoVision.

GoVision Helps Showcase Cowboys Stadium in South Florida

While thousands of media representatives from around the world are soaking up the sights across South Florida this week, they’ll also get a heapin’ helpin’ of Texas glitz along the way. That’s because the North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee has set up a giant booth in the Super Bowl Media Center that’s impossible to miss.
With a major assist from partners GoVision, Daktronics, CorporateMagic and Todd Events, the committee is generating buzz with its Texas-size booth modeled after the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The exhibition space features scaled-down replicas of the stadium’s two massive support arches and its iconic center-hung LED screen.
