Animal Planet Expo Roars into Bay Area
GoVision’s Massive Mobile Video Unit Brings Wild Up-Close and Personal

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN JOSE (July 22, 2008)

It’s not quite the Serengeti plain, but on a widescreen video measuring 9-by-16 feet, lions and tigers and bears may soon appear closer than you think. Oh my!

When Animal Planet Expo rolls into San Jose this weekend, a massive mobile LED unit custom-designed by Texas-based GoVision will bring the exotic sights and sounds of the African savannah, Amazon Rain Forest and Australian Outback to kids of all ages gathered at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds.

“Animal Planet Expo is one of our showcase productions, because they really know how to incorporate compelling, high-quality video into their event,” said Chris Curtis, CEO of GoVision (www.jumbo.tv). “There’s something truly spectacular about seeing Animal Planet footage in high definition on such a huge backdrop.”

Sponsored by the Animal Planet network and Comcast, the Animal Planet Expo is a free, funfilled family experience touring a dozen cities across the United States this summer. Even pet dogs and cats on leashes are welcome at this interactive exhibition featuring such engaging activities as the Bug House, King Croc Slide, Purina Dog Park and the HD Dome.

“GoVision’s mobile video unit captures the wonder of the Animal Planet Expo experience,” said Anne Murphy, vice president, marketing, Domestic Distribution for Discovery Communications, the parent company of Animal Planet. “Not only does it give our crowds a great view of all the action, but the custom-decorated truck turns heads from coast to coast as we travel across the country.”

GoVision is a leading provider of larger-than-life LED video walls and mobile units. Based in Keller, Texas, the company’s jumbo screens are featured at hundreds of events across North America where large crowds can benefit from a better view of the action. Major sporting events – from NASCAR and thoroughbred races to golf tournaments and football games – count on GoVision for its HD-ready equipment, top-notch production capabilities and professional on-site staff. Outdoor festivals, concerts, air and auto shows, mega-church events and promotional tours such as Animal Planet Expo use GoVision to dramatically enhance the on-site experience of their audience.

The Animal Planet Expo runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27, at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose. Jeff Corwin will make a special guest appearance from 11 am – 1 pm on Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, visit http://animal.discovery.com/expo.
