FORT WORTH, TX (November 5, 2008) – The No. 11 TCU Horned Frogs may be on the road for this week’s showdown with the ninth-ranked Utah Utes, but fans can still get an exciting game-day experience at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Thursday night. Hundreds are expected at the “Ultimate Tailgate Party,” a benefit for Happy Hill Farm, where two massive LED video screens will broadcast the action larger-than-life.
The modular LED screens – provided by GoVision LP of Keller, TX – offer state-of-the-art video quality and high-definition widescreen resolution. Two 9′ x 16′ “GoCustom” video walls will make certain that everyone has a great view of the action.
Not only will fans be able to watch the Frogs on the big screens while enjoying great food from restaurants like Bonnell’s, Del Frisco’s, Lambert’s and others – along with complimentary beer and wine, silent and live auctions, and football square games – but every cent of the $75 entry fee will be a donation to Happy Hill Farm.
“As a proud TCU alumnus, I’m very pleased to support such an important and worthy charity,” said Chris Curtis, CEO of GoVision (www.jumbo.tv). “I’m also looking forward to watching the Frogs upset the Utes on our video wall. We’ll all have front-row seats to celebrate the big win!”
GoVision is a leading provider of larger-than-life LED video walls and mobile units. Based in Keller, Texas, the company’s jumbo screens are featured at hundreds of events across North America where large crowds can benefit from a better view of the action.
“We really wanted to give our tailgaters an extra treat for this game,” said Doug Jennings, host of the 18th annual charitable event. “GoVision’s screens fit the bill perfectly. Everyone at the party is going to love watching the Frogs bring home the victory on such a huge canvass.”
The party tent opens at 6:00 pm in Lot 1 behind the scoreboard at Amon G. Carter Stadium, with the game beginning at 7:00 pm. For tickets or additional information, call Shannon Baumgardner at 817-569-6116.
About Happy Hill Farm
Happy Hill Farm Academy/Home is a licensed, accredited, residential school that provides very specialized help to children who need another chance in life. Happy Hill Farm is neither a correctional institution nor a prep school for the privileged. The program does not simply “lock up” children and postpone the estimated $94 billion secondary tax burden on society. Happy Hill Farm’s program changes the lives and direction of at-risk children, so that they will become productive citizens rather than an ongoing burden on society. A variety of staff professionals (including psychology, medical, social work, therapy, educational, nursing, vocational, and athletic) work in concert to address the overall needs of each student. More than 100 children live at the Farm and attend a fully-accredited (K-12) private academy.
