Dallas (December 1, 2003) – GoVision, a Texas-based provider of mobile event video services, joined forces with Media West to coordinate the staging and production of the Dallas Cowboys halftime, featuring Toby Keith, on Thanksgiving Day, November 27.
Media West oversaw the staging, lighting and production of the show, with GoVision operating a 9 foot by 16 foot LED screen backdrop to the stage. The screen projected the events on the stage with two live camera feeds.
“The show was incredible – one that will be remembered for years to come,” said Chris Curtis, GoVision president. “Our team worked very closely with Media West to coordinate safely hanging and positioning the screen to ensure everyone had a great view of the show within the quick time frame alotted.”
With approximately three to five minutes to set up the entire stage area for the Toby Keith entertainment, Media West and GoVision arranged the entire lighting and screen set-up in the days before the show, rigging the lighting and screen to a “super structure” in the rafters of Texas Stadium. Trusses framed the screen and support lights for the show. Using a system of chain motors, the super structure was lowered more than 200 feet from the rafters for the halftime entertainment, then was pulled back up at the end of the show.
GoVision’s BARCO LED screen is specially designed for daylight viewing and is fully adaptable for a variety of screen needs.
“Toby Keith’s management specifically requested that we provide an LED screen for his show,” said Charlotte Anderson, Vice President, Dallas Cowboys. “GoVision provides a high quality product that made Toby Keith and his team very happy.”
