Super Bowl Venues Unveiled with GoVision Video Backdrop

The North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee told production group CorporateMagic to “blow everyone’s mind” with a press event announcing North Texas’ plans for hosting Super Bowl XLV, set for the first weekend in Feb. 2010. Along with NFL standouts and 50 North Texas mayors, the event featured a video wall supplied by GoVision.

GoVision’s screen, made from 98 modular tiles of Barco NX-4, formed a 21-foot-by-12-foot video wall and provided visuals of many of the sites that will play a role during next year’s football championship.

GoVision Gear Supports NCAA Final Four Weekend

The NCAA’s Final Four Weekend got an eight-faceted form of video support this year with GoVision assisting with LED screens above the basketball court. The Keller, Texas-based company also rolled its GoBigger unit to support related events outside the arena. GoVision, in partnership with the NCAA, configured eight 13.5-foot-by-24-foot Barco D7 LED screens to form the octagonal video wall. The display, suspended from the arena ceiling, presented a considerable rigging challenge with a combined weight of 92,980 pounds.

The crowds that gathered recently for one of the Southwest’s biggest Christian music festivals — the IGNITE Passion, Compassion, Justice festival — were treated to a massive Daktronics video display with the video units and related production elements provided by Keller, Texas-based GoVision, a supplier of turnkey mobile LED screens and customized modular LED walls. Behind the performers stood a massive, three-screen video wall that gave concert-goers an extraordinary widescreen view of the acts throughout the day-long event. The LED wall included the giant 19-by-33-foot “GoBigger” unit — the world’s largest high-resolution mobile video screen — in between two brand new 9-by-16-foot modular Daktronics PST-12HD LED displays.

The IGNITE Passion, Compassion, Justice festival lined up a stellar list of performers and made sure attendees at the outdoor event had a great view of the acts no matter where they stood on the Burleson High School grounds.
